I use my current work to imply a sense of disengagement from reality. Using my technique of the ink paintings, I preserve calligraphy inks, India inks, and various drawing inks on large panels and suspend the movement of the pigment separation to create an ecstasy-state of abstraction which I connect to various human emotions such as remorse, love, regret, submission, anticipation, trust, contempt, etc…I find myself very interested in people and exploring human behavioral patterns and human relationships, and the ink paintings are somewhat connected to that. However, I am a big believer of leaving art open for interpretation. I believe art must have a degree of mystery and emotion, and also be left open for anyone to interpret. Art happens inside the viewer and in my work I always drive towards something that demands interpretations from the viewer without influence.
